Backwaters are considered as the backbone of tourism in Kerala. The backwaters of Kerala are a chain of canals, 44 rivulets, lagoons and lakes extending up to 1500 kilometers. The 20 day long ‘Beautiful Nest and Backwater Tour’ has been designed to let you explore the backwater heaven of Kerala- Alleppey, Kumarakom and Kottayam. Also included in this itinerary is the visits to wildlife sanctuaries, forts, palaces and churches.

Drive past to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (formerly Victoria Terminus) an outstanding example of Victorian Gothic Revival architecture in India.
Elephanta cave is located in Gharapuri (The City of Caves), approximately ten kilometers away from Mumbai Harbor. The caves consists mainly of two groups- Hindu Caves (consisting if five caves) and Buddhist Caves (consisting of two caves).
Sri Siddhivinayak Temple is a famous Hindu Temple located at Prabhadevi in Mumbai. It is one of the richest temples in Mumbai and also one of the popular Mumbai places to visit.
The Bandra-Worli Sea Link, officially called Rajiv Gandhi Sea Link, is a cable bridge linking Bandra in the Western Suburbs of Mumbai with Worli in South Mumbai. This is one of the famous picnic spots in Mumbai.
Evening spent at Juhu Beach, the popular beach of Mumbai is thronged with visitors. Some of Mumbai’s best street food and restaurants are located here.
Come back to Hotel for an overnight Stay.
Today drop to the airport to board the flight for Trivandrum. Upon arrival at the Trivandrum Airport, you will be transferred to the hotel in Kovalam. Thereafter, relax on the golden sands of Kovalam beach. There is also a choice of getting indulged in Ayurvedic herbal massage. Stay overnight in the hotel.
Today, in the morning, leave by road for Cape Comorin. Here you will be visiting Padmanabhapuram Palace & Archaeological Museum. In the evening, return back to the hotel for overnight stay in Kovalam.
Post breakfast in the morning, proceed towards Varkala, one of the most scenic beaches of India. Here you have an option to go for an Ayurvedic massage. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Today, drive to Kollam to board a luxury cruiser/speedboat and ride into Kumarakom for a backwater cruise. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Gliding on the scenic backwaters of Kumarakom, your houseboat will enter into Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Besides bird watching, you can indulge in adventurous water sports such as water skiing and wind-sailing or board a canoe to sail over the tranquil lakes. Stay overnight in the hotel.
Today, in the morning, leave by road for Periyar, famous for its spice plantations. It is a scenic journey through mist capped mountains, spice plantations, waterfalls and trekking trails. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel to relax. Stay overnight in the hotel.
The day 9 is scheduled with a visit to the Periyar Tiger Reserve and if you are lucky enough, you might spot the wild beast prowling in his territory. Enjoy a guided trek in this wildlife sanctuary and spot a variety of rare birds, wild animals and trees & flowers. A boat safari on the Periyar Lake will give you an opportunity the exotic wild species in their natural turf. Stay overnight in the hotel.
In the morning, leave by road for Kottayam which takes approx. 4 Hrs to reach, where you will board the traditional houseboat, also known as Kettuvallam. Enjoy the beautiful backwaters for next two nights and stay overnight at Houseboat.
Today, drive to Cochin from Alleppey and check into the hotel. In the afternoon, embark on a sightseeing tour of Cochin covering St. Francis Church, Jewish Synagogue and Dutch Palace. In the evening, take delight in the Kathakali dance show. Stay overnight in the hotel.
In the morning, leave by road for Calicut. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. In the afternoon, embark on a sightseeing tour of Calicut covering The Art Gallery, Pazhassiraja Museum and Krishna Art Museum. Stay overnight in the hotel.
Today, leave by road for Vythiri. From here onwards, you will board a cane elevator to reach the Treehouse. Check in at the beautiful accommodation on Tree House to relax.
The day is free for you to explore the surrounding region. Stay overnight in the hotel.
In the morning, drive towards Ooty. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel for overnight stay.
Post Breakfast you will proceed to enjoy local Sightseeing of Ooty.
Ooty Rose Garden - The pride of Ooty lies in the Rose Garden With more than 20 thousand variety of roses. It belongs to an elite club of 35 rose gardens around the world which has won the Garden of Excellence Award for South Asia.
Ooty Lake - An artificial lake, built in 1825 by John Sullivan, Ooty Lake is one of the most popular tourist attractions. Its scenic beauty captivates everyone. Walking around the lake on a well laid footpath and boating are also quite popular here. Deer Park - It is located about 1 km away from the Ooty Lake. Along with deer such as Sambhar and the Chithal, this park hosts a variety of flora and fauna, especially avian fauna.
Doddabetta Peak - It is the highest point of Nilgiris hills with a height of about 2,623 meters. It is also the second highest peak in South India. A junction of Western and Eastern Ghats, its breathtaking view of the landscape around is something not to be missed.
Ooty Tribal Research Center - Located about 10 kilometers from Ooty, it conducts research on the tribals inhabiting South India and the Andaman and Nicobar islands. It also houses guest house and a library.
Come back to Hotel for an overnight stay at Ooty.
In the morning, hit the road to Mysore. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. In the afternoon, embark on a sightseeing tour of Mysore covering Mysore Palace, an architectural marvel, Krishnarajasagar Dam and Brindavan Gardens. Stay overnight in the hotel.
In the morning, drive to Bangalore Enjoy the sightings of Ranganathaswamy Temple, Srirangapatnam-the capital of Tipu Sultan and Channapatna Toys Center during the journey.. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel for overnight stay.
In the morning, embark on a sightseeing tour of Bangalore where you visit Tipu Sultan's Palace, Nandi or Bull Temple, an ancient South Indian temple, Ulsoor lake, Cubbon Park, Lal Bagh, and Vidhana Soudha and later depart for airport to board flight for Mumbai. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the international airport in Mumbai to board flight back home.
