Itinerary - 25 Days North & South India Panorama Tour

Day 1 - Delhi

Upon your arrival at Delhi Airport, our tour representative will meet you at the airport and guide you to one of the pre-booked hotels. You will have an assisted check-in at the hotel. After taking some rest, you can take a stroll nearby the hotel. The rest of the time at your leisure. You can visit the local market or savor some local delicacies in the national capital. Delhi is a treasure trove of cultures, traditions, and heritage. The national capital is a perfect place to delve into the history and culture of the country.

Day 2 - Delhi Sightseeing Tour

On the 2nd day of the tour, you will embark on the sightseeing tour of Delhi after having breakfast. The major tourist attractions of the day include Red Fort - it was the main residence of the Mughal Emperors and it was constructed in 1639. After Independence, every year the National flag of the country is hoisted on the Red Fort by the Prime Minister on Independence Day which is celebrated on the 15th of August every year. Jama Masjid - is one of the biggest Mosques in the country. It was built in 1656 by the Mughal Emperor and it was originally known as Masjid-e-Jahan-Numa. India Gate - is a war memorial that was built to commemorate the soldiers who were killed in the First World War. Raj Ghat - it has served as a memorial for many well-known leaders and people who served the country. Raj Ghat grounds the memorials of Jawaharlal Nehru, Sanjay Gandhi, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Jagjivan Ram, Giani Zail Singh, Choudhary Charan Singh, Shankar Dayal Sharma, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Chandra Shekhar, I.K. Gujral, Devi Lal, and the main attraction is the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi. Humayun’s Tomb - it is renowned as Maqbara-e-Humayun. It also houses the graves of Bega Begum, Hamidi Begum, and several other Mughal Emperors.

After the tour, you will visit the Lakshmi Narayan Temple and on the way get past Parliament House which is also called Sansad Bhawan which is the main legislative body of the country. Lakshmi Narayan Temple is one of the major tourist attractions of the capital city and it spreads over a sprawling area of 7.5 acres of land. The temple is devoted to Lord Vishnu and her consort, Goddess Lakshmi. The complex comprises several shrines, gardens, and fountains.

Later in the evening, you will visit the Red Fort to attend the light and sound show. Return to the hotel after this show.

Day 3 - Delhi – Varanasi

On the 3rd day of the tour, after having breakfast you will leave for the Delhi airport from where you will board a flight and depart to Varanasi. Our tour representative will meet you at the Varanasi Airport upon your arrival and will guide you to one of our listed hotels. Check-in at the hotel and have a cozy comfortable place to relax. Relax for some time and embark on the sightseeing tour of the day. Take some glimpse of this spiritual city while riding towards Sarnath. It is a place where the founder of the religion Buddhism first taught the Dharma and also the place where Buddhist Sangha came into existence. The other major tourist attraction of Sarnath which one would love to visit is the Sarnath Archaeological Museum - this museum is one of the oldest museums of ASI. It was established in 1910 and houses more than 6,832 sculptures and artifacts. There is an Ashoka Pillar which is a 50 m long pillar and was a gift from Emperor Ashoka to Buddhism. Ashoka pillar is also known by the name Lion Capital of Ashoka and is a sculpture in which there are 4 lions standing back to back later in 1950 the graphical representation of the lion capital in the Ashoka pillar was adopted as the official National Emblem of India.  

Then you will head towards Chaukhand Stupa which was constructed in the 5th century. It is a place where the founder of Buddhism, Lord Buddha was reunited with his five companions known by the name Pancha Vargeeya Bhikshus. The Chaukhandi Stupa is also a site declared as a ‘Protected Area of National Importance’ by the Archeological Survey of India. Lastly, you will visit the Thai Temple which is located amidst the lush greenery. It was built in 1933 by the Thai Dignitaries. It is also renowned as the Hinayana Temple and the Thais call it the Wat Thai Temple. When visited one can see many devotees in the Temple offering their prayers to a huge standing statue which is more than 80 feet in height.

Later in the evening get back to Varanasi and return to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Varanasi.

Day 4 - Varanasi Sightseeing Tour

On the 4th day of the tour, wake up early and visit Ganga Ghat to enjoy a boat ride. After the amazing boat ride, you will return to the hotel and have your breakfast. Take some rest and after some time you will move out to tour the city Varanasi which is well known by the title “City of Ghats”. Your tour around the city will include Alamgir Mosque - it was built in the 17th century by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. It is believed that where the Alamgir Mosque stands today, it was once a sight where Hindu Temple was built by Madhur Rao Scindia dedicated to Lord Vishnu but later demolished by Aurangzeb when he captured Banaras. The Alamgir Mosque also called Beni Madhav ka Darera which was built over the ruins of the temple in 1669.

You will also visit Dashaswamedh Ghat which is one of the famous Ghats of the city. It was constructed in 1740 by Bajirao Peshwa and then reconstructed again in 1774 under the command of Queen of Indore who was Ahilyabai Holkar. This Ghat is famous for the daily ritual of Agni Pooja in the evening which is dedicated to Lord Shiva, River Ganga, Surya (the sun), Agni (fire), and the whole universe. The last place to visit on that day is the Bharat Mata Temple which was constructed by Babu Shiv Prasad Gupta during the time of pre-independence. The construction of the temple began during the year 1918 and was completed in 1924. The main attraction of the temple is not the statues or pictures of gods and others like other traditional temples but a huge map carved out from marbles of Undivided India.

Later in the evening, you can attend the massive aarti of Goddess Ganga and then return to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Varanasi.

Day 5 - Varanasi – Khajuraho

After having breakfast, you will head towards the airport to depart to our next destination. From the airport board the flight for Khajuraho. Our tour representative will meet you upon your arrival and will guide you to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel and relax in your room or take a stroll around. Take some rest and then you will visit to enjoy an entertaining Sound and Light show. The light and sound show is a must if you visit Khajuraho as it helps to gain knowledge about the culture and traditions of the city.

After the entertaining show, move back to the hotel for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay at Khajuraho.

Day 6 - Khajuraho - Orchha - Jhansi – Agra

On the 6th day of our tour, you will embark on the sightseeing tour of the world heritage sites of Khajuraho after having breakfast. This site is famous for antique, beautiful, and ancient sculptures and other artistic beauties. This place is divided into two major groups of temples namely Eastern Group and Western Group of temples. During the tour you will be visiting some of the finest and popular temples in the vicinity which will be Laxmi & Varha temples - these were built during the period of 900 to 925 AD. There are two small different temples which are dedicated to the same Lord Vishnu. Lakshmi & Varha Temples were inscribed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1986.

After this, you will visit Kandariya Mahadev Temple which is also a World Heritage Site. This is the biggest temple of the complex of Khajuraho and also considered as the best-preserved specimen with history from the medieval period. Then you will head towards the Devi Jagdambi Temple which was built by the ruler of the Chandela dynasty who ruled the Bundelkhand region between the 9th to 13th centuries. This temple is also a World Heritage Site in Khajuraho. The Devi Jagadambi Temple is dedicated to Goddess Jagdamba who is believed to be the mother of the entire universe.

After visiting the temples you will move towards your next destination, Jhansi. On the way to Jhansi, you will stop at Orchha. The town of Orchha was founded in the 15th century AD and in today's world it is renowned for its numerous temples, palaces, and forts. You will visit the Jehangir Mahal of Orchha which was built in the Indo-Islamic style of architecture the Jehangir Mahal of Orchha is famous for its marvelous sculptures, delicate trellis, chhatris, topped domes and hanging balconies which represents the excellent design and highlights the beauty of the Jehangir Mahal. Then you will visit the Raja Mahal which was built in the early 16th Century. The exquisite feature of the palace is the lined fragments of mirrors and animated painting which can be seen on the walls and ceiling of the Palace.

The last stop of the day will be Laxmi Narayan Temple which was constructed in 1622 by Vir Singh Deo. The Laxmi Narayan Temple is one of the most important temples in Orchha dedicated to the Goddess Laxmi who is the consort of God Vishnu. The temple was reconstructed during the year 1793 by Prithvi Singh. The temple displays beautiful wall paintings that were referenced from the Rama Charitra Manas which is an epic poem and also referenced from the first battle fought for freedom and Independence in 1857.

After exploring the Orchha you will be continuing your journey toward Jhansi. And in Jhansi, you will board the train to the next destination toward Agra. You will have an assisted transfer to one of our hotels to check-in and have a place to rest.

Day 7 - Agra Sightseeing Tour

On the 7th day of the tour, you will leave the hotel after having breakfast for the beautiful sightseeing tour throughout the Mughal city Agra. While on the Mughal city sightseeing tour you will be visiting the Taj Mahal - it was built by Shah Jahan in the memory of his most beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and an epitome of love. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is also renowned as ‘the jewel of Muslim art in India’·

After this, you will visit the Agra Fort which is situated on the North-West side of the Taj Mahal. It has been used as a residential site by the Mughal emperors until the year 1638 and after which the Mughals shifted their capital from Agra to Delhi. The last known Indian rulers who occupied the fort were Marathas. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then you will visit the Itimad-Ud-Daulah Tomb which is renowned as ‘Bachcha Taj”. The Tomb was built by Nur Jahan, the wife of the fourth Mughal Emperor Jahangir.

Day 8 - Agra - Fatehpur Sikri – Ranthambore

On the 8th day after having breakfast in the morning, you will leave for Ranthambhore and on the way, you will stop at Fatehpur Sikri which is another UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a perfect example of Hindu, Persian, and Indo-Muslim architectural style. It was built in the 16th century by Mughal Emperor Akbar. After exploring the Fatehpur Sikri, you will start the journey toward Ranthambhore. Upon your arrival, you will have an assisted check-in at the hotel.

Day 9 - Ranthambore Sightseeing Tour

After having breakfast you will embark for the jungle safari in the Ranthambore National Park where you will enjoy the adventure activities on the day.

Ranthambhore National Park is a popular wildlife sanctuary which spreads over a sprawling area of 1334 square kilometers. It is famous for Bengal tigers and it was established by the government for protecting the very same species from getting extinct in 1955. Day 10 - Ranthambore - Jaipur

Day 11 - Jaipur Sightseeing Tour

After having breakfast on the 11th day of your tour, you will be headed for the exploration tour of Jaipur. The capital city of Rajasthan was declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site on 6th July 2019. Jaipur was given the title ‘Pink City’ due to the compelling color scheme of the buildings in the city.

During your tour through Jaipur, you will visit the Amer Fort or Amber Fort which was built under the rule of Raja Nahar Singh. The fort was built over the ruins of another structure. Then you will visit the Hawa Mahal which is another exquisite site and renowned for its unique design. This monument comprises five floors and 953 windows which are decorated with intricate latticework. Jag Mandir is another popular tourist attraction which is nestled on the two islands in between Lake Pichola.

You will also visit Sheesh Mahal which was built in 1727 and is decorated with glass, mirrors, and precious stones. It is believed that the Sheesh Mahal was built on the order of king Man Singh for fulfilling the wish of the queen who loved to see the stars while sleeping. Then you will visit the City Palace which was the residential palace of the Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. The complex comprises Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple, and the City Palace Museum.

Jantar Mantar is another architectural marvel of Jaipur. It was built in 1734 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh who was a great scholar. The complex comprises the largest stone sundial in the world. Tourists can observe several astronomical equipments made up of stone.

Day 12 - Jaipur – Bangalore

You will head towards Bangalore after enjoying the delicious breakfast at the hotel on the 12th day of the tour. In the evening you will head for the sightseeing tour of Bangalore where you will visit the Lal Bagh Botanical Garden, on the way to Vishveshwarya Technological Museum you will get the glimpse of the Vidhana Soudha, you will also visit the Art Gallery, Cubbon Park, Indira Gandhi Musical Fountain Park, and ISKCON Temple.

Lal Bagh is a magnificent garden spread over a sprawling area of 240 acres of land. The garden houses more than 1854 species of plants. Lal Bagh houses the world’s largest collection of rare species of plants. Then you will visit Bull Temple which is dedicated to Nandi who is very lovable to Lord Shiva and he is his mount or ‘Vahana'. This temple is the world's biggest temple dedicated to Nandi. Seeks blessing from Lord Shiva and Nandi and then proceed to the next destination and for this, you will drive past the Vidhana Soudha. This is one of the most beautiful buildings in the country and proudly boasts the title of being the largest legislative building in the country. Glare at the glorified grandiose of the edifice on the way to the Vishveshwarya Technological Museum. This science and technology museum organizes 3D shows for the visitors and comprises a plethora of artifacts which includes engine, transportations, telecommunications, aviation, rocket, etc.

Then you will visit the Art Gallery where you will see some of the most beautiful paintings, murals, artifacts, and various other artistic things. Cubbon Park will be the next sightseeing place of the day which spread over an area of 300 acres. Day 13 - Bangalore – Mysore

After having delicious breakfast you will head towards Mysore. Enjoy the lush green surroundings and rich scenic beauty along the way. En-route you will visit the Srirangapatna which is an island snuggled amidst the Cauvery River and situated 18 km from Mysore. You will explore the Dariya Daulat Bagh, Gumbaz, Tippu Fort, and Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple. This place is a perfect example of the Hoysala and Vijayanagar architectural style. This temple boasts of rich history and cultural heritage. This temple is one of the important Vaishnavite pilgrimage places. You will also visit Brindavan Gardens on the way to Mysore. The garden was constructed in 1932 by the Diwan of Mysore, Sir Mirza Ismail, and spread over 60 acres of land. It is located at a distance of 21 km away from Mysore. Built across the notable river of India, Cauvery, it took around five years to complete the project. The well-synchronized fountain show with music, boating, and well-manicured grass with flower beds are some of the top experiences of Brindavan Garden.

Day 14 - Mysore Sightseeing Tour

After having a quick breakfast you will head to a city tour of Mysore which is also known as City of Palaces. Located at the foot of Chamundi hills Mysore is famous for its intricate architecture, silk sarees, sandalwood, and dazzling Royal heritage. During the sightseeing tour, you will visit the Golden Throne, Mysore Palace, Chamundeshwari Temple, Mysore Zoo, Durbar Hall, and St. Philomena's Church.

Golden Throne or Chinnada Simhasana or Ratna Simhasana in Kannada. It was the royal throne of the rulers of the Kingdom of Mysore. It is kept for public viewing only during the Dasara festival. Then you will visit Mysore Palace which is an incredibly breathtaking example of Indo - Saracenic style of architecture. This is a magnificent edifice located in Mysore in the state of Karnataka. Also known as the Amba Vilas Palace and it is still their official residence. Mysore Palace was built in the year 1912 for the 24th Ruler of the Wodeyar Dynasty and is counted amongst one of the biggest palaces in the country.

Chamundeshwari Temple is another tourist attraction of the day and is a traditional Hindu temple located on the eastern edge of Mysore at the height of 1000ft on the Chamundi hills. The temple is dedicated to and named after the goddess Durga. The temple is considered as a Shakti Peetha and is one among the 18 Maha Shakti Peethas. Then you will visit Mysore Zoo which is known as Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens. It is one of the best zoological gardens in India. Maharaja Chamaraja Wodeyar established this Zoo in the year 1892 for the Royals. It tends to create a natural habitat for the animals in it.

Durbar hall comprises a life-size statue of Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV. The rear walls of this large pillared hall contain one oil painting that Sita swayamvar by the celebrated royal artist from Kerala Raja Ravi Varma. Hall is adorned with the pictures of Goddess Devi in eight forms. The last sightseeing place of the day is St. Philomena's Church which is recognized as the second tallest church of Asia, This church was constructed to pay tribute to the Catholic Saint and martyr of Roman Catholic Church, Saint Philomena.

Day 15 - Mysore – Ooty

After breakfast you will be moving to your next destination, Ooty which is also renowned as the “Queen of Hills” Ooty is a hill station and nestled amidst the Nilgiri Hills. This place is snuggled at an altitude of about 2,240 m. After reaching Ooty, you will get accommodated in one of our enlisted hotels. After some time you will embark on the sightseeing tour of the Ooty. You will visit the Botanical Garden, Doddabetta Peak, Pykara Boat House, Rose Garden, and Ooty Lake.

Day 17 - Cochin Sightseeing Tour

Day 18 - Cochin – Munnar

On the 18th day of the tour, you will move to Munnar after having your breakfast in the morning. Munnar is a hill station, situated at an altitude of about 1700 meters above sea level. Munnar is famous for its lush green hills, tea plantation, and pleasant climate all-round the year.

After reaching Munnar, you will have an assisted check-in at the hotel. Relax in the comfort and coziness of your room. Later in the evening, you will embark on the sightseeing tour. You will visit to explore Raja Mala Hills which is famous as a protected place for the Nilgiri Tahr, a kind of Mountain goat. You will be reaching Raja Mala Hills for some adventurous activities like trekking and paragliding. Later after your adventurous tour through Raja Mala hills return back to the hotel.

Day 19 - Munnar Sightseeing Tour

After having breakfast during the early hours, get ready to embark on the sightseeing tour of Munnar which will include some major tourist attractions such as Atukkad Waterfalls, Chithirapuram, Blossom Park, Pothamedu View Point, and Eravikulam National Park.

The first stop of the day will be Atukkad Waterfall which is a majestic waterfall with its lush green surroundings, flowing stream, cool breeze, and the sound engulfing the surroundings of water hitting the stones on its way captivates one's mind and soul. Then you will visit Chithirapuram which is actually a fragment of the old colonial era and this is an architectural marvel. Tourists can also indulge in adventure activities like hiking, trekking, rock climbing, boating, paragliding, and many more.

Blossom Park is another stop of the day. It is renowned for the natural as well as the seasonal flora found here. One can also spot migratory water birds here. Pothamedu View Point offers an amazing panoramic and elegant view of the adjoining valley and river Muthirapuzha makes an ideal place for photographers who love to record the mesmerizing moments of life. The adventure sports opportunities like hiking and trekking.

The last destination of the day will be Eravikulam National park which is believed to be the first national park in Kerala. The national park is spread over an area of about 97 square kilometers. Eravikulam National Park holds the record of maximum found Nilgiri Tahr, the National Park also shelters many other fauna species like lion-tailed macaques, gaur, jungle cat, wild dog, dhole, stripe-necked mongoose, Indian porcupine, and many others.

Day 20 - Munnar – Periyar

On the 20th day of your tour, have your breakfast at your hotel in Munnar and after that drive to Periyar. The region is famous for Periyar National park and Wildlife Sanctuary which is spread across a sprawling area of 305 square kilometers which lies in a protected area of about 957 square kilometers. The Periyar National Park acts as an Elephant and Tiger reserve sight and also protects some other major endangered species of flora and fauna. Enjoy your jeep safari through this Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and explore the rich flora and fauna which you might not get a chance to see anywhere in the world. Later in the evening enjoy your boat ride at Periyar Lake which forms a major Watershed with another River Pumba for Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. After your amusing journey through Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and lovely boat ride return back to your hotel and enjoy your dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 21 - Periyar – Kumarakom

After having breakfast, you will move to Kumarakom which is a paradise of birds.

Upon your arrival at Kumarakom, you will visit the Kumarakom Bird Century. After your visit through the exquisite bird century head to the hotel and check-in to your room.. After resting you will be visiting the Bay Island Driftwood Museum which has a collection of driftwood sculptures. One can find root sculptures of different shapes and sizes in the superior quality collection of driftwood sculptures. Vembanad Lake is where this village Kumarakom is situated, holding the record of being the longest lake in the country the Vembanad Lake also holds the record of being the largest lake in the India State Kerala. This enormous lake can be visited in the evening after the rest of your touring for a beautiful sunset view.

Day 22 - Kumarakom – Alleppey

In the morning after having your breakfast in the hotel move out to reach your next destination which is Alleppey which is known as Alappuzha. In 2016, the city Alleppey was rated to be the cleanest town in the whole country by the Centre of Science and Department and the oldest planned city in this region with a one of its kind Lighthouse along the Laccadive Sea built on the coast of the city. You will be embarking on the journey to Alleppey on a houseboat and enjoying your time traversing the narrow canals while viewing the village life of Kerala and later will retire in the floating villa for the night.

Day 23 - Alleppey – Kovalam

On the morning of the 23rd day of your tour, after having breakfast you will be leaving for Kovalam by road. Kovalam is renowned for its beautiful beaches. When you arrive in Kovalam, you will have an assisted check-in at the pre-booked hotel. Have some rest in your hotel room. After some time you will proceed to the sightseeing tour of Kovalam which includes the various tourist attractions such as Lighthouse Beach, Hawah Beach, and Samudra Beach.

Lighthouse beach is the largest beach in the region and frequented by travelers throughout the year. There are several water sports activities in which people can take part and enjoy the marvelous views of the surroundings.

Hawah Beach is another famous beach which is situated opposite to the Lighthouse Beach. This beach is also renowned as the ‘Eve’s Beach’. Spend some quality time amidst the palm swaying shores. The last destination of the day is Samudra Beach which is one of the most beautiful beaches of Kovalam. Spend some quality time here with your loved ones and enjoy the sunset on the shore of this majestic beach.

Day 24 - Kovalam Sightseeing Tour

On the 24th day of the tour, have your breakfast in the hotel and transfer to the sightseeing tour of Kovalam. Scheduled for you to visit today will be some major and famous tourist attractions of village Kovalam which include Vizhinjam Lighthouse, Bhagwati Temple, Vellayini Lake, Vizhinjam Marine Aquarium, and Vizhinjam Rock-cut cave.

The first sightseeing place of the day is Vizhinjam Lighthouse which is situated at the southern coast of the country. During the old time between 18 and 19th century the Vizhinjam was a major and a busy port and for the progressive working of which the lighthouse was but during the 19th century the port was left in ruins and later in the year 1972 the new lights were installed and the lighthouse was renovated.

Then you will visit the Bhagavathy temple which is dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati. Seeks blessings from the goddess and then heads towards the Vellayini Lake which is a paradise for the shutterbugs and nature lovers. The Vellayini Lake is also well known by the name Vellayini Kayal in the local language of the surrounding area. The water sport performed on the lake during the Onam festival is a world-famous sport in which there is a boat race on the lake and the sport attracts huge crowds and people from various places.

After this, you will visit the Vizhinjam Marine Aquarium where tourists can get glimpses of exotic species of aquatic animals. This place is heaven for those who love to see and explore marine life. The Vizhinjam Marine Aquarium is not only famous for its exquisite species which live in the water but also for Image Pearl Production. Managed by the Central Marine Fisheries Institute and located in one of the busiest harbors, the Aquarium was established in 1997.

The last stopover of the day will be the Vizhinjam Rock Cut Cave which comprises a temple and the outer walls of the cave have some unfinished carved images of Lord Shiva in different avatars. On one side there is an image of Tripurantaka and a carved Image of Nataraja on the other side of the entrance door. And inside the temple, there is the structure of Vinadhara Dakshinamurti.

Day 25 - Kovalam – Trivandrum

This is the last day of the tour and after having breakfast you will check out from the hotel. You will have an assisted transfer to the airport from where you will board the flight for your onward journey.
